Internet Radio Stations and TuneIn in WAM Bridge

WAM Bridge lets you save custom internet radio stations by name, associate them with TuneIn IDs for reliable resolution, and play them on your Samsung WAM speaker without managing IP addresses or stream URLs each time. Station definitions are stored locally and separate from the speaker's own preset buttons.

Save a custom station#

wambridge --radio-add paradise "https://primary.example/radio.mp3" "https://backup.example/radio.ogg"

Fallback URLs are tried in order if the primary stream is unreachable.

Add a TuneIn ID alongside the URL. When the station is played, WAM Bridge resolves the TuneIn ID first, so if the broadcaster moves their stream address the station still works. The saved URLs are used as fallbacks when TuneIn cannot be reached:

Bundled station packs#

Import the bundled BBC Radio 1, PR3 Trojka, and PR4 Czworka pack:

TuneIn presets (stored on the speaker)#

Read and start TuneIn presets that are already saved on the speaker itself:

Changing the speaker's TuneIn account or preset list still requires Samsung's own plugin; no reliable write API is known for the M5.

The entire TuneIn catalogue is accessible without saving anything. --tunein-browse walks the tree; a path is the row numbers of successive pages separated by slashes.

Rows are printed as index TAB kind TAB mediaid TAB title. The mediaid is the stable TuneIn station ID and is what you pass to --radio-add --tunein-id; the leading index only identifies the row on that page and changes as you paginate.
